At first glance, this film seems like the typical bare-chested beefcake shaving ad, until you pay closer attention to the finer details -- like, where's the shaving cream? Upon further examination, you'll also notice that the hunky star's skin and hair seem to have an unplaceable otherworldly quality. It turns out, the ad, created out of Tiger's Eye and directed by agency founder Tiger Savage and Sky Sharrock, promotes King of Shaves' new Hyperglide razor, which requires the addition of only H20 to ensure a scruff-free shave. And to make that point, the agency shot the ad completely underwater.
No high-end effects tricks were involved. The star of the ad is a professional diver/model who can hold is breath for just over a minute. Moreover, he employed other clever tricks of the trade--like how to brush the oxygen off the body to ensure no bubbles appear during the shoot.
