Stylishly executed, but not so flattering for the ladies.

"La Donna e Mobile," one of the songs from composer Giuseppi Verdi's opera "Rigoletto," serves as the storyline for Axe's "Random" body spray in this new spot for the Unilever boy brand, created out of Ponce, Buenos Aires and directed by MJZ's Juan Cabral. The song, whose title translates to "The Woman is Fickle," stars a lineup of cute, scraggly guys crooning the classic tune, looking forlorn and apparently burdened by the unpredictable mood swings of their beautiful ladies. Although stylishly executed, like Axe advertising before it, the ad has a taint of misogynism and unflattering female stereotypes -- not suprising given its inspiration was one of classic arts' most licentious playboys. Cool cover, though.
