Last Christmas, Lagavulin gave us the delightful treat of a 45-minute video of actor Nick Offerman sitting by a fire and sipping the Scotch whisky. This year, it's inviting us to celebrate New Year's Eve with him.

Rather than waiting for the ball to drop with Ryan Seacrest or some other celebrity host, you could spend the full hour leading up to midnight on Dec. 31 watching Offerman sitting silently by a dock in Isle of Islay, Scotland, in a tartan armchair. The only sound is that of revelers in the background, at what looks like Lagavulin distillery. Keep watching (or fast forward) until midnight if you want to see him actually drink the stuff.

It seems like a suitably low key way to say goodbye to 2016. Incidentally, earlier this year, Lagavulin made another film featuring Offerman for Father's Day, in which he and his dad sat in stoic male silence in a canoe. We think the brand could definitely expand this series to include more occasions.
