Hans Zimmer hears music wherever he goes. It's a handy skill for the Academy Award-winning composer of scores for films such as "The Lion King," "Gladiator" and "Inception." So Land Rover put him in a Range Rover and sent him down the Angeles Crest Highway, a winding, scenic drive through the San Gabriel Mountains in LA County, to see what he would come up with.

The resulting soundtrack climbs smoothly, mirroring the turns, the reveal of the landscape after a tunnel. A short film from The Atlantic's creative group Re:think lets Zimmer wax poetic about the task and offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his process, sitting at his workstation after the drive.

Atlantic Re:think also worked with Jaguar Land Rover in 2016, creating a program involving the F-PACE SUV called "The British Impact," which examined the influence of U.K. culture of American food, music and design.
