Nike pulls out all the stops for the World Cup in this animated film that shows the benefits of risk-taking. Created by Wieden & Kennedy Portland and directed by Jon Saunders via Passion, "The Last Game" is about a future where risk-taking players are taken off the field in favor of staider, dependable "clones." This is thanks to The Scientist at Perfect Inc., a fictional football conglomerate that strips the game of risk -- and therefore, beauty. He hates the moves of players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Neymar Jr. (He says for example, that Mr. Ibrahimovic's overhead kicks have a 76% chance of missing the target.)

But the "originals," the players led by Brazilian legend Ronaldo, decide to fight back, and challenge the clones to a last game -- one that will decide what shape the future of football takes.

"The idea behind 'The Last Game' is to show the world that Nike, like any true lover of football, believes that the game should be brilliant, daring and bold, " Nike Chief Marketing Officer Davide Grasso said in a statement. "Having the confidence to take risks is absolutely vital in football. Imagine a world without the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo, the acrobatics of Zlatan or the wizardry of Neymar."
