Tony Fadell, the man who designed the iPod, has done the unthinkable: Made a thermostat look hip. Faddell's "Nest Thermostat" is sexy like the iPod and smart, like a thermostat should be. You set it much like a regular thermostat, but it soon figures out your patterns, like when you wake up, go to bed, when you get home from work and sets the temperature accordingly. The result could save you money on utilities and ultimately, save the planet. It will cost $250.
