LG makes the most of action star Jason Statham, who plays every one of the multitude of characters that appear in the brand's new spot promoting the G5 modular phone, created out of Energy BBDO and directed by MJZ's Fredrik Bond.
Among his "personalities" in the film are a thug on a subway, a beanie-wearing baby in a stroller, a J Lo-like dancer, a bank robber wearing a Jason Statham mask and daredevils riding motorcycles or standing atop running bulls.
The ad is part of the brand's larger brand campaign to promote its mobile unit, playing off the existing slogan "Life's Good" in a fun way with the idea that "Life's Good When You Play More." Read more about the strategy on Adage.com.
LG isn't the first to put a big celebrity all over the place in its ad. A recent spot for H&M also saw the retailer's sports star collaborator David Beckham all over the place.
