Before it unveiled its major hardware announcements yesterday, Google gave attendees of its big event a hilarious "Silicon Valley" treat in the form of an intro film starring two of the show's stars, Kumail Nanjiani and Martin Starr, in their respective roles as Dinesh Chugtai and Bertram Gilfoyle.

In it, we see the duo's love-hate dynamic in full force, with the help of some geek envy. Dinesh's eyes widen as he sits in front of his computer awaiting the Google event live stream, but Gilfoyle just shuffles in and shrugs the whole thing off, to his buddy's dismay.

That's just for everyone who "wasn't on the beta," Gilfoyle says, before he proceeds to lock a couple mysterious white boxes into his drawer -- just a taste of the perks he's enjoying as part of the "in" crowd. Through it all, Dinesh tries to save face, in his endearingly pathetic way.
