Helpless Stars Come Out to Ask Google for Help in Brand's Oscars Ad
Spot Kicks Off Global Push for Brand's Assistant
Editor's Pick
John Legend needs to write thank you notes and Sia can't see past her giant wig, so they both reach out to Google Assistant for help in the brand's Oscars ad. Created out of Google Creative Lab and directed by Matt Aselton via Arts & Sciences, the anthem spot kicks off "Make Google Do It," a major global integrated push to promote the Google Assistant. It captures those everyday moments in which an extra bit of help could get things going in the right direction.
Following tonight's ad, Google will roll out more digital videos featuring its stars, including one showing Legend singing a serenade of frustration as his wife Chrissy Teigen struggles to search for a TV show with the remote, another in which NBA star Kevin Durant compiles his grocery shopping list while doing bench presses and yet another in which Sia tries to figure out her own to-do's without having to rely on her human helper.
