Marcus Mariota Goes Home to Hawaii in a Soulful Beats Spot

NFL Player Works Out, but Looks Spiritual

Having taken LeBron James back to his high school in a powerful spot last year, Beats by Dr. Dre now accompanies another sports star -- Tennessee Titans' quaterback Marcus Mariota -- back home in its latest commercial.

Conceived out of Beats By Dre in collaboration with Ramble West and Hustle L.A., the agency created by R/GA to service Beats, the spot has a rather different look and feel, as we see Mariota working out almost spiritually (with his Powerbeats2 wireless in-ear headphones), running on the beach and gazing at the ocean. He's surrounded by supportive friends and family, and of course Hawaii's beautiful island landscape. The soulful music track -- "River" by Leon Bridges -- adds to the mellow atmosphere, even as the spot ends with a determined-looking Mariota willing himself to "go get 'em."
