AMV BBDO and Againstallodds Deliver a Charming Tale

A busker and his dog long to escape the grimness of an oppressive city, in the first TV campaign for British natural pet food brand James Wellbeloved.

The tale, animated by directorial duo Againstallodds at Passion Animation Studios for creative agency AMV BBDO, concerns a young musician with his dog by his side, slowly collecting pennies as he ekes out his existence playing music on gloomy, dirty city streets and sleeping in a noisy room next to a railway.

Pinned to his wall is a picture of a motorbike in the countryside, and he appears to be saving up for that. However, it's eventually revealed that his real goal is something a little different. Set to a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide," it's a touching and charming film whose message is that to love our pets well is to reconnect them with nature.

Alex Grieve and Adrian Rossi, executive creative directors at AMV BBDO, said: "The film is designed to provoke people to think differently; showing there is another way to love your pet, and that James Wellbeloved is best placed to deliver it."
