It's not even Christmas season yet and Nintendo has announced the release of the perfect stocking stuffer -- its classic NES console, but in a much smaller size. Tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand, the NES Classic Edition will be equipped with 30 games to stoke the flames of your gaming nostalgia, including "The Legend of Zelda," "Donkey Kong," "Super Mario Bros.," "Pac-Man," "Castlevania" and "Kirby's Adventure." It hits stores on November 11 and will retail at $59.99.

The console plugs directly into hi-def TVs with an HDMI cable, included in the product package along with one NES Classic Controller. A second controller, selling for $9.99, can be attached to allow for two-player gaming.

"We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo's original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place," said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime in a statement. "The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is ideal for anyone who remembers playing the NES, or who wants to pass on those nostalgic memories to the next generation of gamers."
