Orbit gum and Energy BBDO (formerly known as BBDO/Chicago) continue to mine the twisted-portrait idea with a new round of ads, including this latest Nadav Kander (www.nadavkander.com) execution, a variation on his earlier series of lampshade-on-the-head shots. The face-blocking concept, as artsy as it may seem, was never intended as a nod to Magritte, says CD Frank Dattalo. "The lampshade was simply a device that allowed us to demonstrate the benefit of a bright smile. This bubblegum ad is a nice way to carry through on the same approach
