Canadian Braille organization Braille It surprised viewers at movie theater showings of Bond movie Skyfall across Canada, with a stunt by Dare Vancouver highlighting what life is like for the visually impaired. The lights dimmed, and the sound of the movie started to play, but the screen remained completely black. After 60 seconds in complete darkness, with the sound playing, viewers saw a message saying: "This is what it's like to be visually impaired. Help make the world accessible for everyone."
Braille It is a service for the visually impaired that transcribes visual text into Braille cells on products such as signage, business cards and menus.
