KBS+ Launches 'Momdoms,' Condoms Your Mom Would Approve Of
Entrepreneurial Venture from Agency Made Possible with Investment from CCO and CEO

Editor's Pick
KBS+ has launched a brand new business beyond advertising. "Momdoms" are beautifully designed packages of condoms that feature words of wisdom from moms, along with a half-dozen prophylactics. The idea was created by executive assistant Wayne Simpkins, who entered Momdoms into a crowdsourcing competition created by the agency. It was inspired by Mr. Simpkins' own mother, who was a nurse and talked about the birds and the bees openly in the house. Mr. Simpkins and his brother wanted to come up with a way for kids and moms to start the sex conversation.
Momdoms, which is now being sold in Las Vegas' Q!S, Kings and Pylones pharmacies, was made possible by a personal investment from KBS+ CEO Lori Senecal and co-CCO Ed Brojerdi. On the site, you can even customize the images on the tins of condoms.
The idea reminds us a bit of another agency's ventures into prophylactics. Agency TDA Boulder years ago started Sir Richard's, a natural-condoms brand that this year hit drugstores nationwide -- and also started a condom war.
