Sometimes, all you really want from a cellphone network is to be able to get a good signal. U.S. Cellular has been capitalizing on that in a crowdsourced campaign that encourages users to post photos of anywhere in the country they can connect to the network, with the hashtag #MyAnywhere.
Back in late May, it asked users to share photos on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, tagging @uscellular, for the chance to win weekly prizes and a grand prize trip for four to anywhere in the United States. This week, it launched a TV campaign that uses some of those user-generated photos. The winner of the contest will be announced in the coming weeks.
The campaign is by MullenLowe, with experiential work by MarketingWerks, media by Starcom and PR by Ketchum.
