Tidelands is a 60+ year-old hospital system based out of Murrells Inlet, Georgetown, Seaside, with smaller surrounding regions near Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina. Beginning as a small community hospital, they grew into a larger healthcare system that now includes two major hospitals, cancer clinics, wound care, imaging centers, and a fitness center. They are now the largest healthcare provider in the region.
My Carolina Life, a standalone brand, powered by the Tidelands, in an editorial-style website experience developed to build trust with residents and health professionals in the Tidelands region. The main goal was to bring relevant, timely, and useful articles that are timely and relevant to questions or concerns that viewers in the target audience may have at that point in time. (i.e. “Should I get a flu shot in August?”)viewers’ everyday life. To enhance credibility, the experience was structured as a news outlet with 4 parent categories (health, food, family, wellness).

Tidelands Health was recognized for MyCarolinaLife.com, a platform for sharing engaging, informative and timely health and wellness information through Facebook and other digital channel. Story.

The health system won 16 awards, including a top Award of Excellence, in the Communicator Awards, billed as the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.
