While Kmart might have gotten a sextet of boxer-clad guys to perform "Jingle Bells" using their jingle balls, the NBA gets a bunch of basketball players to shoot hoops to create music. Goodby Silverstein & Partners enlisted the help of Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, James Harden and Steve Nash (and some VFX magic) to shoot basketballs at nets adorned with bells to make music. LeBron James appears at the end to provide the last note. Last year, NBA stars dribbled basketballs to make the sounds of "Carol of the Bells." The spot promotes the league's special edition Christmas Day uniforms, and was directed by Jonathan Klein at O Positive. See a making of here.
