Netflix's 'Binge Candle' Is Specially Designed for Gilmore Girls Viewing

Wax Is Divided Into 90-Minute Sections With Scents for Different Seasons

Netflix is ingenious at coming up with fun hacks and products to enhance your viewing experience -- past examples have included its trick-or-treat repelling Halloween Doorbell and Netflix socks that pause your show if you fall asleep.

Its latest accessory has been created specially for fans of "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," its reboot of the popular show in four 90-minute installments, each set in a different season: winter, spring, summer and fall.

Recognizing that for many fans the show will be a mother-daughter date night, the brand and agency TBWA/Chiat/Day created a limited-edition scented "Binge Candle" that burns through each season as you watch it.

The candle, which has been part of a limited giveaway to fans in the U.S., Asia and Europe, has four layers of different-smelling wax. The idea is that you transition in scent from season to season in 90-minute intervals, just as the seasons change in the Connecticut town of Stars Hollow where the show takes place. As the final credits roll at the end of episode four, the candle should be burned out.
