Agency Deeplocal has helped make life easier for Netflix users with ideas like a Halloween doorbell that lets you keep streaming while trick-or-treaters come to your door and socks that turn the service off if you happen to doze off while binge-watching. Now, it's trying to help users who might be spending a little too much time on the couch get healthier with the "Netflix Personal Trainer."
The wearable fitness tracker turns your favorite Netflix characters into your coach. Claire Foy's Queen Elizabeth from "The Crown," for example, might say "I think we should start fast and run at a good clip," Ellie Kemper aka Kimmy Schmidt might encourage you to "take it 10 seconds at a time" or Terry Crews from "Ultimate Beastmaster" may bark, "Move! Faster! Go!" Perhaps even better, the trainer also encourages you to keep going by pausing Netflix if you're watching during your workout and decide to take a break.
The idea is the latest in Netflix's MakeIt series, which provides consumers with DIY instructions on making cool products to enhance their viewing experience. For this one, you're going to need some basic electronics and coding chops, and perhaps a CNC router or 3D printer if you want to make a nifty case. Netflix and Deeplocal compiled a file with all the information you'll need.
