Nike Goes High Fashion with Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci
Designer Channels His Love for B-Ball into New Line of Kicks

Editor's Pick
Riccardo Tisci, the Creative Director at fashion house Givenchy happens to be a fan of basketball. He played the sport as a child in Italy, despite his country's passion for soccer. He went on to incorporate his love for b-ball into his fashions and runway shows. Now, however, he takes it to a whole new level with a new collection for Nike, Riccardo Tisci x Nike Air Force 1. The series of kicks brings a haute couture sensibility to the popular trainers, and marries the chunky silhouette of the AF1's low, mid and high-tops with fresh layers of color. The series also introduces an new "extreme" model via the AF1 Boot, which extends the AF1 all the way to its wearer's kneww, in black leather.
The collection launches on March 21 at Nike concept stores and will be released globally in May.
