The 6,200 residents of Bethel, Alas., got a pretty neat surprise last week when DraftFCB Orange County and Taco Bell flew a helicopter carrying a truck full of ingredients to make Doritos Locos Tacos to the farflung town.

The townspeople was supposedly "reeling" after it turned out that fliers announcing the opening of a Taco Bell in the area turned out to be nothing but a giant (cruel, heartless) hoax.

The truck, according to the Los Angeles Times, carried 950 pounds of beef, 500 pounds of sour cream, 300 pounds of tomatoes and lettuce each, and 150 pounds of cheddar cheese. In what is probably a quote for the ages, Taco Bell's CEO Greg Creed told the AP: "If we can feed people in Afghanistan and Iraq, we can feed people in Bethel."
