The upcoming pan-Europe and U.S. Adidas Originals seasonal print ad effort, shot by the team of Martine Stig and Viviane Sassen, goes for the naturally lit, if slightly surreal, spontaneous feel of events in an art gallery. The campaign required a team of modelmakers and prop designers from the film world, according to 180 Amsterdam AD/writer Sam Coleman, with the intention of creating an improvisational vibe that reflects the customizable nature of the Originals line. Adds AD/writer Lee Hempstock, "We wanted to make each shot feel like it was an installation in a gallery, an original piece. We started with white walls and a wooden floor and then handmade all the props to create our scenes," with the Originals collection "as inspiration for our art pieces. The end result hopefully feels like stills from an art book."
