The Spring/Summer 2007 edition of Uniqlo's free in-store magazine, designed by New York agency MP Creative, features the launch of the Japanese casual wear designer/retailer's new T-shirt line, called the UT Project. UT will eventually be offering some 1,000 T-shirt designs, collaborating with an international spectrum of artists ranging from Japanese photographers Daido Moriyama and Nobuyoshi Araki to U.K. designers Peter Saville and Kim Jones. (Seen here is a page from the magazine that previews a T-shirt design by menswear star Jones.) Uniqlo celebrates the UT debut ? there's even a dedicated UT store in Harajuku, Tokyo ? with Terry Richardson's photographs of young people, found via a MySpace casting call, modeling UT designs. See the PDF for this as well as some pages from an inspired "I Am I" kidswear section, photographed by Maciek Kobielski. The No. 2 cover image is by Ryan McGinley, who also gets a spread in the issue. See Uniqlo.com/us for more, including the first edition of the magazine, which was also an MP Creative project.
