Team-ups are a common occurrence in the universe of comic book storylines. The latest has Jeep joining forces with Marvel Comics and interactive agency Organic to create the online component of BBDO's launch campaign for the new Patriot SUV. Comic fans venturing onto PatriotAdventure.com can actually help shape the plot of a 20-page comic-in-progress (starring the car, of course) by submitting their own ideas for how each page should unfold, with the winning suggestion being incorporated into the evolving story by Marvel artist Bing Cansino. "I was surprised when I saw the research on how popular graphic novels and comics have become, as well as how wide the age range of the audience is," says Organic creative director Adam Wilson. "It's a good fit when you're trying to create awareness of an entry-level Jeep vehicle to a set of people who have likely never considered the brand."
