Urban art graces the covers of modern book classics
Jun 25, 2013
After couture classics, linen-encased hardcover favorites and Klaus Haapaniemi original designs, Penguin Books presents another inventive take on the book cover. This time around, the UK branch offers a series featuring street art cover renditions for 10 of its popular contemporary titles, including The Reluctant Fundamentalist, How to be Good and Armadillo. The limited edition paperbacks coming out this summer will bear street-art designs by prominent artists such as Sick Boy, Mittenimwald, Agostino and Stephen Powers (also known as ESPO). Having declared a belief in "timeless writing" and "enduring design," Penguin hopes that the artists' modern take on the texts will complement the writers' words.
