Pikes Peak in Colorado is a daunting challenge for any car. 12.4 miles, with 156 turns and 5,000 feet of climb mean that any vehicle trying to even drive up there better be up to the challenge. So when the 2014 Range Rover Sport tries to set a record for the quickest run in any production-standard vehicle -- and manages it by doing it in just over 12 minutes -- it's worth a watch.
It's even better when the record-setting attempt is documented by RKCR/Y&R and Ivan Zacharias, who capture perfectly the forbidding majesty of Pikes Peak, and how scary those 12 minutes must have been for American driver Paul Dallenbach, who drove the vehicle.
