This Dirty Version of 'Game of Thrones' Could Help Save Lives
Australian Charity Inserts Cancer Message into an Adult Video
Editor's Pick
Advertisers targeting young men to warn of health dangers seem to have realized one thing -- porn is the way forward. Last month we reported on a campaign by adult site Pornhub that posed as a suggestive video, but turned out to be a tutorial on how to examine your testicles. Now, an Australian testicular cancer charity, the Blue Ball Foundation, has inserted cancer awareness messages into an erotic film that purports to be a "adult" version of "Game of Thrones."
In the "Game of Balls" movie, created by M&C Saatchi Sydney, star Eva Lovia stops mid-action, talks directly to the viewer, and demonstrates how to check for testicular cancer on her co-star. She then points to an on-screen URL, playwithyourself.org, where men can find out more. Then the film (which is fairly graphic) continues as normal.
L.A. adult film studio Digital Playground collaborated on the project, which launched on April 12, when "Game of Thrones" Season 5 premiered in Australia. The movie has had over 1.5 million views so far.
