@PublicisOmnicom, the Franglais (French and English)-tweeting twitter parody account was created just as news of Publicis-Omnicom Group mega-merger hit yesterday, providing sardonic commentary throughout the day with references to popular culture and recent industry news.

Some of the most re-tweeted were the very astute "If you really think about it, we're kind of like a Cronut," referring to the croissant/donut hybrid that has taken New York by storm, and "Apologies for announcing the merger on a Sunday. It was supposed to be on Friday, but Lotus Notes," of course, alluding to Publicis employees' frustration with the archaic email and calendar software that became public knowledge late last week.

Update: the merger spoofer updated the Twitter handle to @PublicisOmnico_, presumably because the real holding company took control of its own name.
