Humanitarian association Samusocial launched an SMS fundraising campaign in Begium, in which people were invited to replace their voicemail message with a homeless person's plea for help. Four homeless people recorded their own messages for the campaign, by McCann Brussels. In partnership with Belgium's four biggest phone operators, mobile users could simply replace their normal voicemail recording with one of the messages, which urged callers to donate to the charity via text.
