Carnival Super Bowl Spot Turns to JFK for Inspiration

Presidential Words About the Sea Become a Voiceover

Carnival's first Super Bowl spot reminds us why we're all connected to the sea, as we hear a speech by John F. Kennnedy he gave when kicking off the 1962 America's Cup. As we listen to his words about the power of the sea and the fact we all came from the ocean, we see some stunning footage of the world's seas and oceans (and of course, some Carnival cruise liners).

The spot, by BBDO Atlanta, was chosen by viewers in an interactive contest, where the brand posted several ads on its site and people could choose which won would run in the Super Bowl. This spot was trailed as the "mystery spot" and featured only footage of the ocean.
