The American flag's stars keep their distance in campaign from telehealth brand Ro
Campaign from Wieden + Kennedy and board member Alexis Ohanian also offers remote triage services

In the latest brand effort to address the coronavirus pandemic, telehealth company Ro teamed with Wieden + Kennedy Portland and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian on this push with a patriotic theme.
Outdoor and social ads depict a new version of the American Flag—all 50 stars are now spaced further apart. Copy reads, “Stay apart. Together.”
Ohanian, who is a Ro board member, shared the image on social media, and billboards are running across the country with media coordinated by AdQuick and Quan Media Group. Creative was done pro bono.

Outside of the safety message, the billboards are offering consumers free telehealth triage services if they need more information and guidance on COVID-19. Those who are worried they may be experiencing symptoms of the novel coronavirus can go to Ro.co/Together to take an online assessment and, when appropriate, they’ll be connected to a provider for a free consultation through messaging, video or phone. After that, the provider can offer recommendations for proper care and, if necessary, help them access in-person care with local health officials.
Headquartered in New York City, Ro bills itself as “The Patient Company” and was founded in 2017 by Zachariah Reitano, Saman Rahmanian and Rob Schutz. The company first launched off its male health platform Roman, which had been known for its offbeat erectile dysfunction ads, and gradually expanded to include female digital clinic Rory and Zero for those wanting to kick their smoking habit. Over the last six months, the company has shifted to chronic and primary care and has added services for weight management and allergies, with plans to treat over 20 conditions end-to-end by the end of 2020. Patients can access the COVID-19 telehealth assessment on both the Roman and Rory platforms.
