Butchery gets a burlesque theme in a series of posters created by six students from Miami Ad School during a 10 week stint at Rosetta in New York.
The work was created a pro bono effort to help upstate NY locavore butcher Fleisher's open its second location, in Brooklyn's Park Slope, and draw attention to its delivery service.
The students, from Venezuela, Brazil, India and the US, worked with and competed against volunteer teams from Rosetta's own creative group in what the agency calls a 'greenhouse' session, to develop the marketing strategy, campaign ideas and online, social, mobile, environmental, poster and event/stunt executions to support the official September opening of the store.
The poster campaign uses pun and double entendre to show that Fleisher's is committed to 'revealing all' - ie. being transparent with its customers about the origins of its meat. One poster ad, showing a chicken in lingerie, carries the headline 'Sultry Poultry' and declares, 'We love our breasts all natural.' Another presents a lamb performing a can-can dance; the headline reads, 'Hot for Ewe.'
