Creepy clowns, you may frighten folks away this Halloween, but one home will be sure to welcome you with open arms -- and even give you an extra special treat: the home of the Whopper.
This holiday, Burger King is hosting "Scary Clown Night," and select restaurants in Los Angeles, Austin, Miami, Boston and Salt Lake City will be giving free Whoppers to those who come dressed in as creepy clowns from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on October 31. Clowns must hurry, however, as only the first 500 at each location will get the free burgers.
To promote the offer, Burger King created this pretty terrifying video in which a young man appears to be trapped in a coulrophobic nightmare, pursued by fearsome clowns as he rides his bike through the street. Tere's even one scooting along in a creaky tricycle we're sure not coincidentally looks a hell of a lot like Ronald McDonald.
This isn't Burger King's first clown-themed idea of the season. Earlier, it had hijacked a screening of the new "It" remake in Germany to make a dig at McDonald's famous mascot and promote itself in the process.
