As France starts to come out of lockdown this week, there are many ways in which people are having to adapt back to some kind of normality. One of them is driving again, with private cars allowed back on the road after weeks of being banned. That has prompted French road safety organization Sécurité Routière to create a PSA reminding people not to go crazy when they're allowed back behind the wheel.

The spot puts a humorous spin on the slow pace of life under lockdown—0km per hour as you lounge on the couch, for example, 2.3km per hour as you amble into the kitchen to put the kettle on, or your kids racing around the sofa at 6.2km per hour. "After this week, driving will be extremely exhilarating," the narrator explains. "So, respect the speed limits."

The ad was made in isolation by agencies Serviceplan France, Babel and Madame Bovary, using stock footage only. "We couldn't have any characters or written scenes, so we choose the format of the “vignette film,” explained creatives Aurélien Bigot and Benjamin Le Coz in a statement.
