With the Tour de France around the corner, Goodby Silverstein & Partners is getting people in the zone with Thumbs of Glory-- a racing app. Just last month, GS&P (the agency's product development studio) launched an educational one.

This time, players are in it to win it as they take on the role of cyclists, pedaling as fast as possible for extended periods of time. Rather than working thighs, though, thumbs feel the burn as they furiously tap, tap, tap at the screen.

The app can be downloaded from iTunes and Google play and mirrors the great race. As of July 5, competitors will "travel" the same 3,664 km course actual racers will over 21 days. The idea, was to make the game difficult-- stage winners will earn prizes, but the most committed players will dedicate three hours a day to Thumbs of Glory in the hopes of winning an S-Work Tarmac, a special bike worth S9,500.

In addition this teaser, the agency has released another, playfully aping the lives of competitive cyclists.
