How kids being kids can make adults cry.

Children speak, and act, the truth. That's apparent in a new pair of child obesity spots out of Mono, for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. Two boys sit at a fast food restaurant trying to one up each other with their heroic dad tales, and a little girl trails her mother at the grocery store, taking cues from her mom as she fills her own tiny cart. On the surface, they're a pair of heartwarming scenarios, but the finer details--and the parents' expressions, reveal a more unsettling reality.
The spots were directed by Academy's Amanda Boyle, who previously painted another tragic, yet beautiful portrayal of kids in the moving "Sh*t Kids Say" film for the NSPCC, out of Inferno London.
