B to B Campaign Literally Pulls Music out of the Air

German engineering and electronics conglomerate Siemens takes an unusual musical turn to promote its support of renewable energy. In this new effort out of Ogilvy & Mather, the brand tapped musician Will Bates of music production company Fall on Your Sword to orchestrate Johann Strauss' "Blue Danube" with a "wind symphony" -- using sounds generated by 400+ windmills Siemens recently erected in Iowa.

Part of Siemens' larger "Answers" advertising campaign, the effort features this documentary, as well as shorter versions of the film for broadcast, which broke this week.The overall push aims to higlight the impact of Siemens engineering on people's everyday lives.
