In Brazil, Nivea and Giovanni+ Draftfcb created a print ad that doubles as a cellphone charger, allowing beachgoers to use solar energy to recharge their phone. The ad, distributed in Veja Rio (Rio de Janeiro) the weekend of May 25th, was made with a paper-thin solar panel as thin as paper and a connection for people to plug in their smartphone. It took eight months to produce, including six months of technology development and two months of printing.
