SPCA's backgrounds let you choose a shelter pet to accompany you in your video calls
Project from Forsman & Bodenfors Singapore highlights animal adoption during lockdown

Animal shelters are having to come up with some creative ways to promote their adoptions schemes during quarantine; we've already seen Pedigree enable video calls with dogs, and now here's a project from the SPCA in Singapore that lets you put a shelter pet into your Zoom background.
Created by Forsman & Bodenfors Singapore, the project, Background Homes, lets people download a home setting that includes a potential pet that you can bring to your video calls for a "test run." There's a choice of pets on offer, and they come with home furnishing settings and funny cutesy captions (like, "Paws the video.")
According to SPCA, the backgrounds not only let viewers imagine what the animal might look like in their home, they'll also be promoting shelter adoption to video callers. “Now more than ever, our shelter animals need all the help they can get. And if people can’t see them face to face, we thought; why not have them in everyone’s home, virtually? said Dr Jaipal Singh Gill, executive director at SPCA Singapore, in a statement. "The 'Background Home' initiative does that in the hope that some of them will end up in people’s houses, for real.”
