The nightlife district of St Pauli's, in the German city of Hamburg, has come up with a novel solution to the hundreds of partygoers who urinate all over its walls after a good night out.
Resident Julia Staron, of St Pauli's Community of Interest, came up with the idea of water repellent walls that splash pee right back at the urinators. The area's walls are coated with a super hydrophobic paint normally used to paint ships -- so when people pee, their own shoes will get a soaking instead of the wall.
There are signs warning people off, but as Staron explains in this video, not every wall has a sign. Ingenious.
