Dell is hitting the summer music festival circuit as part of a new integrated campaign developed by Mother, New York.
With Dell "Summer Rocks", the brand has set up camp at events like Lollapallooza and Virgin Festival with its geodesic Dell Dome, which is essentially a multimedia lounge. Here, attendees can make 20-track digital mixtapes of select festival performers, get rock star haircuts as well as custom airbrush tattoos and heat iron transfers from resident artist Mike Ming.
The microsite for the campaign captures all the happenings at Summer Rocks with webisodes, concert images and video interviews with performers like Chromeo and Shudder to Think. Site visitors can also make a digital mixtape by clicking, dragging and sequencing select tracks, then entering their email to get a unique link to download. Along with the mixtape, you can get festival updates, take a behind-the-scenes look at the Dome and enter to win tickets to upcoming Dell Summer Rocks events like Austin City Limits.
