Tesco is using its supermarket "tannoys" (PA announcers) to give public shout-outs to dads this Father's Day, surprising them with pre-recorded messages from their loved ones while they do the groceries.

A series of videos, featuring the men reacting in public to their kids' voices broadcast across the stores, has launched on Facebook, and will now also run on TV. Online, viewers are directed to helpful ways in which they can show their acknowledgement and appreciation for their own dads, such as a simple calendar reminder, recipe ideas and Tesco's range of gifts.

The films were created by BBH and produced by the agency's in-house Black Sheep Studios.
