Airbnb's new global video campaign sets out to explain what Airbnb does, exactly, in the most charming way possible. It built a 915-square-foot train set to take viewers through a miniature world with different homes to stay in, from palaces to beach bungalows.
Airbnb worked with TBWA/Singapore and production house Cirkus on the homespun campaign, which used no computer-generated images. Craftsmen worked 2,400 hours building the set in a New Zealand warehouse. The video was filmed in a single take, and it took 85 tries to get it right. (If you want to find out more about how it was done, take a look at the making-of film.)
