Latest 'Thank You' Stunt Involves Cherished Family Photos

Following last year's stunt in which its ATMs started speaking to customers and dispensing free gifts, TD Bank Canada has found another way to say an over-the-top thank you to its customers (while filming it to make a heartwarming video).

Taking its cue from social media trends like Throwback Thursday (#tbt) and Flashback Friday (#fbf), the bank invited longstanding customers in for a meeting, then surprised them by ushering them into a room filled with large-format prints of cherished family photos from key moments in their lives. Of course there are emotional reactions all round, and the stories of the customers TD selected might even move the viewer to tears, too.

The campaign is by Diamond Integrated Marketing, and includes related marketing such as a "throwback" theme in branches and an online Flickr gallery showing old photos and ads from the bank's own history.
