'Game of Thrones' Patriarch Charles Dance Gives Rousing Pep Talk for English Rugby

Rousing Spot Launches Campaign for Next Year's Rugby World Cup

English actor Charles Dance, perhaps now best-known as Tywin Lannister in "Game of Thrones," is known for playing upper-class villains and cads. So he might at first seem a fairly offbeat choice to deliver a "team talk" to England's rugby team as they prepare for the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

But, as his locker room lecture develops into a rousing, almost Shakespearean battle cry (and the players are joined by viewers, rugby legends and others) it becomes obvious why he was cast (and by the way, he's a keen rugby fan). The spot, by BBH and directed by Peter Cattaneo ("The Full Monty"), launches an international campaign by England Rugby 2015 to promote tickets for the World Cup, which will take place in England and Wales next year.
