Samsung Is Using Virtual Reality to Make Live Theater Possible for Deaf People
App for Samsung Gear Adds Subtitles in Real Time

Samsung is working with hearing-impaired people in Brazil to help them enjoy live theater for the first time using virtual reality.
Going to the theater is still virtually impossible for deaf people because of the lack of subtitles and interpreters. So agency Leo Burnett Tailor Made has created a special app for Samsung Gear that captures the words spoken and immediately translates them into subtitles.
The first performance to use the goggles took place in Paulo Eiro Theater in Sao Paulo in April, and, although the app is still in beta, it's also being used at two further theaters in Brazil.
