If you live in L.A. and have been feeling smothered by the traffic, brush fires and sweltering heat, this quirky video by director Luciano Podcaminsky for Argentina band Los Coming Soon might help you readjust your point of view.
It's told from the P.O.V. of an eagle who's escaped from the Los Angeles Zoo. The majestic bird -- actually, a man wearing an eagle costume , slips out of his cell, throws on some headphones and starts up Los Coming Soon's track "The Things We Love."
He skateboards through downtown, unexpectedly encounters brethren hanging from hooks in a restaurant or standing majestically atop buildings, gets his portrait sketched by a street artist (which he promptly tries to pawn off on tourists) and feels the breeze blowing through his feathers at the beach. He seems to relish all the sights and sounds that L.A. has to offer -- even those that don't come with Hollywood-style trappings, so it's a nice reminder that the big pleasures of life don't have to be the most luxurious.
The Los Coming Soon band members don't appear in the video -- their only presence is in a quick shot of the concert posters that Eagle Man eyes as he strolls down the block.
