New York-based interactive advertising firm WDDG is not a top-secret government agencydespite what its newly redesigned website would have you believe. Designed to mimic the look, sound and feel of a 40s-style newsreel projection, the site cleverly packages all the pertinent agency specifics (company history, services, clients, etc.) in the form of "training film" slide shows designed to evoke the propaganda films and educational science films of yorecomplete with grainy black-and-white footage, patriotic music and full-throated voiceover. Best of all, the agency's portfolio, including its acclaimed Altoids work, is designed as a Periodic Table of Projects, with each element corresponding to a different client. (Altoids is "Al," in case you were wondering.)
