Domestic violence can happen to anyone (as fans of celebrity chef Nigella Lawson discovered last week). So, German domestic violence charity Terre des Femmes aimed to raise awareness of its prevalence with a campaign promising a free makeover. The stunt, by McCann Dusseldorf, lured visitors to a Berlin mall to what they thought was a free makeover stand. The women were given a makeover - but it consisted of a colorful black eye. The black and blue greasepaint was packaged as actual makeup called "The Truth: the first makeup that reveals, rather than conceals".
